A Note from our Publisher, Alexa Bigwarfe:
I started out probably just like you – scouring information on writing, publishing, and book marketing every place I could find it. I read blogs, took courses, and listened to podcasts, finding myself rapidly overwhelmed and often making bad choices that wasted time and money. I learned what I needed to know to get started and continued to seek information on improving the process and getting better results. After self-publishing my first two books, others started reaching out to me asking all of the questions, with the biggest being:

I answered many of the same questions over and over, so I began creating content, training, and resources to help authors get started, publish, and move into more advanced marketing. I began to assist authors through the publishing, and eventually established three of my own publishing houses.
Over the last decade we’ve helped thousands of authors through our webinars, conferences, coaching, and services. Our team learns from and improves, honing our skills as experts in the publishing and book marketing world, with every project we touch.
I am passionate about my role as an author advocate – helping authors make well-informed decisions on the steps they need to take to publish and market, how to find the right partners and tools in this journey, and tips that will ensure you can actually market your book.

The Made for Millions Fund
A portion of every Made for Millions book and event sale will support the creation of the Made for Millions Fund, a dedicated pool of capital to provide microloans for women entrepreneurs starting in the United States.
We are partnering with KIVA, an established US‑based nonprofit micro-lender to administer the loans, vet applicants, and recycle repayments to future women founders. That means every dollar can support not just one woman, but many—again and again.
We are also establishing The Candy Hunter Hines Grant, in honor and celebration of the women who paved the way and helping fund the next generation of women founders.

Made for Millions Fund – FAQ
Q: What is the Made for Millions Fund?
The Made for Millions Fund is a dedicated pool of money we’re building to provide microloans to women entrepreneurs starting in the United States with plans to expand globally. A portion of every Made for Millions book and event sale goes into this fund so we’re not just sharing stories, we’re also putting capital directly into the hands of women starting and growing businesses.
Q: Are you creating your own nonprofit or bank?
No. Rather than creating a new charity or financial institution, we are partnering with an established US‑based nonprofit micro‑lender. They already have the systems, legal structure, and expertise to vet applicants, issue loans, and manage repayments. This lets us focus on the movement, and lets the experts handle the distribution of funds.
Q: Who decides which women receive funding?
Our nonprofit lending partner will make those decisions using their existing criteria and processes for women‑owned businesses. We are not trying to reinvent their selection process, we’re choosing to trust and resource organizations already doing this work well. As the fund grows, we may shape broad focus areas (e.g. early‑stage founders, specific communities), always in collaboration with our partner.
Q: Why microloans instead of only grants?
We love microloans because they recycle: as a woman repays her loan, that money goes back into the fund and can be loaned out again to support another founder. Over time, the same dollars can help many different women, multiplying the impact of every contribution.
Q: Will we be able to see the impact of the fund?
Yes. One of our priorities is transparent storytelling. Our nonprofit lending partner will provide updates and impact data, and we’ll share stories (where appropriate and consented) about the women whose businesses are being funded through Made for Millions. We want you to feel and see the ripple effect your participation is creating.
