To me when we talk about embracing spirituality, it means bringing the sacred into the everyday. It means pausing for a moment of gratitude and being thankful for the present moment, and it also means allowing yourself to be guided by that small voice that you hear in moments of silence.
Spirituality can also mean speaking blessings to others that need to hear them, or sharing your wisdom, your guidance, and your prayers, for those that are in need. It can mean so many different things to so many people and I don't think there is just one path.
When I think about embracing spirituality, to me, it is going within and tuning into that intuitive guidance that we all have when we allow ourselves to be still. It is also trusting and surrendering that we will be guided on the path that we're meant to be on as long as we stay in alignment and integrity.
These are the two most critical pieces I’ve been committed to practicing.
In the teachings of the Four Agreements with Don Miguel Ruiz, being impeccable with our word is incredibly powerful, not just for others, but for ourselves. Doing what I say I'm going to do, showing up for people I love, and making sure that everything I do is in divine alignment with what I'm feeling called to create, or where I'm feeling called to go, and what I'm feeling called to say at the moment is being impeccable with my word.
If you are just stepping onto this spiritual path and you are trying to sort it all out, I would give you the advice that there is no one, right way. There is just your way; the way that you feel most connected, most calm and most peaceful. That is the way, and that is your path, and I wish you all the best in your journey.
